If you have an old Android phone lying around, you can repurpose it as a baby monitor. In this video, I show you how to use an Android phone as a baby monitor.
Start by downloading a baby monitor app on both the old and new devices. Apps like “Baby Monitor” or “Luna BB” work well. Install the app on both phones.
Make sure both devices are connected to the same Wi Fi network. Open the app on both phones. On the phone you want to use as the camera, select “Baby Station” or “Camera.” On the phone you want to use as the viewer, select “Parent Station” or “Viewer.”
Follow the app’s instructions to pair the devices. This often involves scanning a QR code or entering a pairing code. Once connected, the parent phone will display live audio and video from the baby’s room.
You can also enable features like two way audio, motion alerts, and night vision if supported.
This setup is a cost effective alternative to dedicated baby monitors. If this guide was helpful, be sure to subscribe.
