Hello, I am Sangeeta Mohapatra, 2001 batch Chemical Engineering, NIT Rourkela and co founder of doodledry. Professionally, I’ve been at the intersection of materials, research, manufacturing, and product development.
Sarit, my partner, and I launched doodledry on 14th November 2024 – Children’s Day – very intentionally, because our entire mission is centered around babies and kids.
At doodledry, we call ourselves a preventive healthcare platform for babies and children, using ‘technology that cares” because we strongly believe that “Prevention is better than cure”, isn’t it?
Now, what does that mean?
Instead of waiting for a problem to become big enough for a hospital visit, we focus on catching signals early – through smart textiles and wearables that sit quietly in a child’s everyday routine.
Our smart textile not just provide comfort but repels water, wicks moisture, fights stain, bacterial, fungi, etc. while ensuring breathability, quick dry and what not! Smart textiles in preventive healthcare enable continuous, comfortable monitoring and early intervention by turning garments into sensor platforms for vital signs and detections. Sensors, harmless, naturally extracted chemicals, all together make it a smart textile
Our cute wearables are those wonderful caregivers who take care of falls, movements, etc through those wonderfully embedded sensors. Built-in sensors also track heart rate, breathing, temperature, motion, and sleep for chronic disease risk and early warning of distress. This can be paired with AI for risk prediction and alerts.
Well, we believe that prevention for children is not just doctor visits, but also about everyday comfort, hygiene, and safety at home.
So we build products that help parents notice small issues before they become big worries. Reduce the mental load on caregivers who are already juggling work, family, and a thousand open tabs in their brain, thus enabling an effortless parenting.
As they say, prevention is better than cure!
